A delightful take on the traditional Round Robin letter, signed in traditional circular fashion by Graham Moss, Kathy Whalen and Whizzer the Guard Dog/Lap Dog to Greet the New Year 2005.
Christmas morning 2004 found Incline Press at the kitchen stove with a small saucepan full of type metal ready to form the circle of names that would set the seal on our annual 'round robin'. Around Robins includes poetry and prose from James Thompson, Emily Dickinson, Gunnar Brusewitz and Thomas Bewick, whose wonderful wood engravings of birds, enhanced with the appropriate colour, provided the illustrations for this celebration of the robin in its different permutations. The friendly little English robin, loved by all in Britian, lends his name to his cousin, the Swedish robin with his bright blue vest and, more improbably, the much larger American Robin, Turdus Turdus whose infrequent visits to British shores cause great excitement.
Truly a joie de vivre, this is a classic IP New Year's offering.
