Incline Press supports the craft of hand binding. All of our books are bound by hand, either here at the workshop, or at the workshop of a professional hand binder. Books are usually bound in small batches as they are needed, and until the entire edition is bound, sheets (unbound folded and collated pages) are available to hand binders at a reduced price. Specimen pages are available on request. Most of the time binders buy a single book for binding, but occasionally we collaborate with a binder who is interested in exploring the possibilities of a small, specially designed edition of one of our titles. Binders have designed special editions for us of newly published books including Stephen Conway's handsome edition for The Decorated Books of Thomas Lowinsky, Lori Sauer's vellum binding for First Wife, and recently Chris Hicks specially designed edition for Garden Relicts. We are always pleased to sell multiple copies to binders who are interested in designing a special edition, so if you are interested in such a project, let us know. If you desire a specially bound book, but don't bind yourself, we would be happy to supply you with the names of a few binders who could design a binding especially for you.
