Incline Press puts a new slant on the traditional round robin letter

Robin

Christmas morning 2004 found Incline Press at the kitchen stove with a small saucepan full of metal ready to cast the circle of names that would set the seal on our annual "round robin". With poetry and prose from James Thompson, Emily Dickinson, Gunnar Brusewitz and Thomas Bewick, whose wonderful wood engravings of birds, enhanced with the appropriate colour, provided the illustrations for this celebration of the robin in its many permutations. The friendly little English robin, loved by all in Britian lends his name to his cousin, the Swedish Robin with his bright blue vest and, more improbably, the much larger American Robin, Turdus Turdus whose infrequent visits to British shores cause great excitement. Truly a joie de vivre, this is a classic IP New Year's offering.

As usual, the edition was free to subscribers and friends of the press with about a hundred copies remaining for sale at £15.00
